A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, MO, Dr. Schickner earned dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Psychology.  Dr. Schickner continued his studies at Georgetown University School of Medicine, earning a Master’s degree in Physiology before completing his medical studies at Georgetown University School of Medicine, graduating in 1996.  After concluding his general surgery internship at Loyola University School of Medicine in Chicago, IL, Dr. Schickner completed his ophthalmology residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 2000.  Dr. Schickner joined Dr. Glesmann and his team in 2000, where they continue in private practice.  Dr. Schickner is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and an active Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
